No. Humanitas Training is not accredited by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA), and therefore the Humanitas Counselling Course is not a registered SAQA/NQF‐level qualification. On successful completion, you will receive a Certificate of Completion reflecting the training received and 220 supervised practical hours. This is not a formal academic qualification and does not, on its own, guarantee international recognition as a counsellor or eligibility to practise in another country.

Within South Africa, the course is recognised by HICS (the Humanitas Independent Counselling Society) against its Entry Training Outcomes Standard, and is step 1 toward HICS membership. Please note this is professional recognition, not a tertiary qualification, and completion of a counselling programme does not guarantee membership.

Because recognition criteria differ by country, it remains the international applicant’s responsibility to check with their local regulatory authority whether this training will be recognised for their specific purposes before enrolling.
