Humanitas Campus Counsellor

Kabeer Shamsoodeen
My name is Kabeer Shamsoodeen and as a Campus Counsellor at Humanitas, I aim to create a safe, supportive space where interns feel heard, understood, and respected as they navigate the practical phase of their training. I work in a calm and compassionate way, helping you manage challenges such as self-doubt, performance anxiety, academic and counselling pressure, emotional responses to client work, and the personal reflections that often arise during this stage. I am particularly passionate about supporting emerging practitioners in strengthening their self-esteem, building healthy coping skills, and developing confidence in their professional identity.
My approach is flexible and tailored to your individual needs. I believe counselling should help you feel supported while also equipping you with practical tools to manage difficulties, strengthen your self-esteem, and better understand your emotions. I am especially interested in helping you navigate the challenges, transitions, and growth that come with working with clients for the first time, so you can develop resilience, confidence, and a stronger sense of yourself as a practitioner.
