Hello, my name is Tamrin-Kaye and I have a membership with the Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners (ASCHP) as a wellness counsellor (WC23/1948)

I have a Higher Certificate in Counselling and Communication Skills, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Social Science degree in Counselling and Psychology which I obtained from the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP). I chose Psychology, because I wish I had someone that I could go to for mental and emotional support during some of the toughest times in my life and that's why I have a passion for helping and supporting others.

I started my own practice in July 2023: Mending And Rebuilding Souls (MARS) Wellness Counselling. Many of us have experienced some heartbreaking and challenging times in our lives to the point where we feel damaged, broken and irreparable. Sometimes we forget that there is always room for improvement and there is always time to start afresh and that's what I'd like MARS Wellness Counselling to be for you. Not just a safe and comfortable space for you to take care of your mental health, but also a chance for you to mend and rebuild your life wherever you may find yourself at this point in time.

My aim is to provide you with a safe and non-judgemental space to process your thoughts and emotions, but also to empower you and to help you reach your full potential in all aspects of your life. I hope to walk along with you on a transformative journey to self-discovery; growth and contentment. It may not be easy, but it will be so worth it in the end!

Like Carl Rogers' said, "People are just as wonderful as sunsets if I can let them be... When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, 'Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner'... I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds."

Please do reach out and let's work collaboratively on this journey!
