Hey, I am Nadine Johnson. In 2019, I completed my BA degree in Psychology and English at Pearson Institute. A year later, I obtained my honours degree in Psychology at Cornerstone Institute. I'm a professional writer who writes self-help books that mainly focuses on anxiety, cognitive behavioural therapy, depression and positive psychology. I believe humans are inherently good and get thrown into this world where our blank canvas gets painted on by individuals we never gave permission to do so and events that occur where the canvas becomes damaged. This is where counselling comes into play as counselling provides coping strategies and techniques in which you learn to take control of your canvas and colour it however you want. In other words, you unlearn unhelpful ways and learn new ways of living life in a more fruitful manner. In addition, in counselling you also learn to understand yourself better as you create a new and improved version of yourself which enables you to live a fulfilling life. I’m passionate about helping others and providing them unconditional positive regard within a space that is non-judgmental. People thrive in environments where support and compassion are shown and that's what I aim to do. My vision is for each and everyone to have access to mental health without hassles and for all my clients to gradually become better versions of themselves over time. I mainly use a person centred approach however, I do incorporate techniques from other approaches where I believe it's helpful and in the best interest of my client. You will be helped to explore your own issues, feelings, beliefs, behaviour, and worldview, so you can become more self-aware and achieve greater independence. “What we don't need in the midst of struggle is shame for being human” ~ Brene Brown
